What lengths am I willing to go to in order to do right by every child?

In my WORDitOut creation as seen below, I have chosen some of the main elements of what it takes to be a culturally responsive teacher as well as some other strategies that I saw being implemented through the articles and videos that we had to watch. One of the most important phrases that I would first like to point out of what it takes to teach young ones is making sure that as a teacher you show genuine and authentic care to your students especially to those who do not look like you! It is crucial that teachers show that they care for a student and are happy to be present as this will help create that safe environment and that bond with one another to lay the foundation of what is to come. With this, teachers must remember to always be advocates for their students, speak up for them and fight for their future as we have the power to do so in many different ways. I also included the word games in my WORDitOut creation because a great strategy to get ALL of your students to participate and have fun is to create games out of the lesson plan when possible. Children learn best when they are engaged in what they are learning and even more so when having fun! Atlast, the most important thing to remember is to just share love to each and every child including those who standout and those who hide behind others because when students feel loved they feel safe, cared for and appreciated which happens to go a long way.
